Add data: Data sidebar
Not to be confused with the data pub
The data sidebar gives you quick access to the schemas, tables and fields in your databases, and the cells in your canvas.
Resize the data bar by dragging on the right-hand edge, or the horizontal divider between the Tables and Cells panes.
Sources
The Sources pane displays the list of available data sources in this canvas. When a source is selected, it becomes the active source. When creating new cells from the canvas toolbar, those cells are by default created referencing the active source.
The color next to each source determines how cell names appear in the canvas - use these colors to help visually distinguish cells from different sources.
Tables
The Tables pane displays the list of available tables for the active data source. If the active source is a database, the list of tables is grouped by schema.
Click the status icon to update the list of tables for the active source
Click the plus button next to any schema, table, or column to insert a summary of that item into the canvas.
Cells
The Cells pane displays the list of cells for the active data source. Click the navigation icon next to a cell to navigate to it, or click the plus icon next to a column to insert a summary of that column into the canvas.
