Your first ad hoc analysis

The canvas is a great place for ad hoc analysis for a number of reasons, including:

• It's fast to explore data - no need to switch between SQL IDE tabs!

• It's a great place to collaborate - bring in stakeholders easily to scope and share findings along the way

• Reduce database load (and improve query speeds) by running and doing exploration locally in your browser

To get started with an ad hoc analysis we'll be going through:

1. Some examples/templates that are useful for inspiration

2. Building your first queries

3. Creating quick visuals

4. Caching, local cells, and scheduling (for querying speed!)

5. Collaborating with a stakeholder
